Things are looking up for gallop right now. We had a great time down in Aachen. Thanks to Rory the Wild Rover, Tom the wild Saturday replacement drummer, and Joe the late night autobahn rider both gigs came off without a hitch after all. Thanks also to all the friendly folk who made playing there so much fun! We are already looking forward to returning for the easter weekend.
Our friends at Ulftone Music have now announced the official German release date for the CD. The CD is of course already available at gigs and here at our website and will as of March 11th now be available in stores nationwide.
On the gig frontier things are shaping up nicely for March in Germany (see gig page) and plans for Canada in late April are also taking form. Stay tuned for more details on the gigs coming in Toronto, Kingston and Hamilton.

The CD has at last arrived. Through wind and rain and sleet and snow we rode to the manufacturer in Berlin in order to grab a few copies before Christmas. Official European release (available at your favorite record store) is scheduelled for early February but the CD is now available for those who wish to order on line and will also be available at all future live dates.
Happy holidays!
Martin.
For all those Germans who have been struggling with the English version of this website we now have the German version up and running. For the official German website press here. more news soon.

The mood is good. A splendid time was had by all at that memorable gig in the Aurich Markthalle. The smell of fish, pig cutlets, dutch cheese and bratwurst seemed to have a very inspiring effect on the band and the audience. Joe played a mini kit with two snares and no toms and used meat tenderizers instead of sticks. It was a cool sound and he sure was fun to watch. Rainer played a brilliant bass solo on the Proll Nummer that might still be going on now if Gunnar hadn´t have given him the cue back to the chorus. All in all there was a lot of grinning going on on stage and in the breaks we saw some old friends and made some new ones. Special thanks to Frank for setting up the gig. We look forward to playing in Aurich again soon.
Meanwhile back at the ranch we are seriously talking about going over to Canada in late April now and it looks like I may be taking a trip over in February to suss out the gig situation in advance. More on this as soon as we have it.
The Kulturetage in Oldenburg has helped us out with a room where we can do some further work on phase one of the next album (working title: Achilles Heel) getting some rough demos of the new songs and digging for more new ideas.
We´ll be down in Lingen (Vahrenhorst) on the 15 of December, returning to the scene of our very first gig together as a band. Come if you can!
more soon, martin.

Ulftone Music, our label out of Berlin expects the new CD to be arriving some time by the end of this month. The official release date, that is the date the CD will be available in stores is still not firm, but for people in the north west area of Germany we'll be celebrating a CD release party in Charly's Musikkneipe in Oldenburg on November 9th. and they will definitely be available there.
http://www.garageband.com has just informed me that the track Grindstone (thanks to a great number of positive reviews) will be featured on October 31 (Halloween) as track of the day. Merry go round will be track of the day on November 2. For those who don't know. garageband.com is a website that was founded by ex Talking Head Jerry Harrison and enjoys the support of many renowned producers such as George Martin (Beatles) and Brian Eno (U2 and many others). Its a system where songs that have been uploaded to the site are reviewed and rated anonymously by listeners. A brand new song is well on its way with the working title Apart at the seams and a rework of the Subgo Brothers classic Cutting Edge is also beginning to take shape. Robert Wipond's inspired lyric on that one, ten years later, ringing truer than ever!!
The first stages of recording a new album, which will be our first real joint effort, are also well under way. Last week we recorded several bed tracks for some of the newer tunes and hope to be getting back into the studio soon to finish the first demos of these songs.
