UPDATE 30.04.02

Things are running well. We have finished our studio work in Metalworks last week and have played live in The Rivoli, Queens St., Toronto. Thanks to all of you who made it to see the show.

Right now we are in Peterborough and Jörg is doing his keyboard overdubbings. If you are interested in watching a small movie (6 MB) that we made right here with a small DV cam (thanks to Jürgen) please press on the picture below. You must have Quicktime installed to watch the movie. If you haven't installed a Quicktime Player on your system you can download it for free at www.apple.com for MacOS and Windows system.

Please stay tuned for more details ....

UPDATE 24.04.02

18.04. - 04.05, gallop in Ontario Canada ...

Impressions of Canada.

UPDATE 03.04.02

The sun is shining, spring has sprung and all in all the mood is good. The CD came out and along with it some very encouraging reviews and articles in numerous magazines and newspapers here in Germany.

We haven't made it to the cover of the Rolling Stone but we were on the cover of Mox magazine and Rolling Stone Germany has granted us a great future. For more on what the press has to say about How Much is the World? choose this link.

March was full of gigs which has helped us grow into the new four piece situation. Thanks to all who helped make the gigs happen and to all who came out to give us a listen. Here is a picture taken by Dave Orwoll of our gig in Charly's in Oldenburg. Here are some more pics.

Everything is going ahead with the Canada trip on April 18th. Studio dates are booked as well as a few club dates (soon to be posted here) and I can hardly wait for this great opportunity to introduce old friends to new ones.

Tomorrow we're off to Berlin to open an Ulftone showcase with Dzuik's Küche in Quasimodo.

more soon, martin.

UPDATE 27.02.02

Yes, much has changed since my last news entry. For those who know the band already, you will have probably noticed from the picture on the front page that guitarist Gunnar Greszik is no longer with us.

Having parted on good terms, we certainly wish him all the best with his soon emerging solo project Die Fliegende Rehe and wish to extend a warm thank you for all the help in getting this band rolling and for all the inspired musical moments and great ideas he shared with us.

As for gallop, after a period of confusion and chaos we have begun to really enjoy the challenge of rearranging our repertoire for a four piece. Things are sparer and we're learning to like it that way. We are full of anticipation how the folks of Norden, North Germany will take to our first four piece show this Saturday March 2nd. in the Alte Post Hotel.

Thanks to the diligence of our friends at Ulftone, the CD has been getting some good recognition from press and radio alike. Watch for articles this month in Guitar and Bass, Stereo Play, and Indigo Notes among others.

A big highlight for us is coming up on April 4th in Quasimodo in Berlin. Ulftone and Radio 1 are presenting us on a double bill with the wonderful Danny Dzuik, keyboarder and co-writer for Stoppok. We can hardly wait!

Plans for Canada are also moving along nicely. Several gigs are in the works (details soon) and some time is planned for a visit to Metalworks Studio in Toronto where we will be laying the foundation for the next album.

Keep in touch!

regards to all, martin.
